Margaret Burns-Kohn
3 years ago at age 62 Margaret finally grew up and found out what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. All it took was one photograph taken with her iPad of a reflection, and a friend to say “Good God you’ve got talent”. The photograph is named Gulliver’s Travels.
Margaret has said that she has always had a eye for photography however, it’s not only what her eye sees, its the interpretation of what her mind sees within that one glance. It’s a split second of what is captured out the corner of her eye…it may be a light, a reflection, an angle or a color…or even just fragments of that split second. A story or caption formulates in her mind and that’s when two or more photo’s, angles, light, hand drawing, digital all morph into her interpretation of that split second glance.
She cannot stage a shot, she is uncomfortable with landscape or portrait, she is not a professional photographer and has no clue how to use a real camera. She is different, she’s rather strange actually.
Margaret is 65yrs old. She only takes pictures with her iPhone and iPad. She has Parkinson’s. She prefers to be called Margie..not Margee, not Maggie…ask her and she will help you pronounce it…Margie.
