Although I am very much a self sufficient individual most probably due to having to be as a youngster, I have come to learn, most recently the mountain taught me that it takes a team in most cases to be successful and to have fun.
Case in point…..the team of 33 porters and 4 guides kept the 8 of us well, alive and able to dance on top of the highest freestanding mountain in the world. I could not of done that alone.
Just recently I had the honor of working with the most amazing team. I decided due to unforeseen circumstances that my cosmetic/fragrance team would directly report to me during the holiday season. As daunting as this seemed and many of you in retail would know what extra load that puts on a VP Store Manager this team was incredible. Not only did they get results far beyond my imagination they kept me on my toes and we had boundless amounts of fun.
Once again…. I am extremely self sufficient which, boils up a lot of childhood memories which is my next chapter……however, this team proved how strong a team can be and that I could not of done this alone AND holy cow, they made it fun.
